The shirt features a red t-shirt with a white text design that reads “BEHAN STRONG” in a brush script font. The design also includes a small basketball hoop graphic.

But what does “BEHAN STRONG” mean? It is a tribute to Pat Behan, a former St. John’s High School basketball coach who was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) in May 2022. Behan has dedicated his life’s work to coaching high school boys’ basketball in the DMV area. In his six seasons as St. John’s High School men’s basketball head coach, he compiled a 127-51 record, sent 26 players to college programs, and won a Washington Catholic Athletic Conference (WCAC) tournament championship last winter.

Behan is a courageous fighter who has inspired many people with his positive attitude and determination. He has also raised awareness and funds for I AM ALS, a patient-led community that provides critical support and resources to those living with ALS, caregivers, and loved ones.
