Camp Mystic, a nearly century-old girls’ summer camp nestled near Hunt, Texas, stood as a symbol of youth, faith, and freedom. When the river overwhelmed its banks, cabins were torn apart, and lives were swept away. Among the lost was Dick Eastland, the camp’s director, who gave his life trying to save the children—becoming a beacon of selfless bravery.
