The Texas Rangers are going to the World Series for the third time in franchise history after defeating the Houston Astros in a thrilling Game 7 of the American League Championship Series on Monday. The Rangers celebrated their victory with a parade on the Strip and a rally at Toshiba Plaza, where they revealed their player-worn gear for the Fall Classic. Here are some highlights from the celebration and a sneak peek at the Rangers’ World Series apparel.
Rangers Crush Astros in Game 7 to Win AL Pennant
The Rangers did not let the Astros’ home-field advantage stop them from clinching their second consecutive AL pennant. The Rangers jumped all over the Astros from the start, scoring three runs in the top of the first inning. The Rangers busted the game open with a four-run fourth inning to expand their lead to 8-2. Texas right fielder Adolis García, who was at the center of a benches-clearing incident after being hit by a pitch in Game 5, was an easy choice for ALCS MVP. García went 4 for 5 at the plate Monday with two home runs and five RBIs. García cranked five home runs in the last four games of the series, homering in each game in that span to carry the Rangers to the American League crown. All four of the Rangers’ wins in the series came on the road at Houston’s Minute Maid Park, where the Astros have struggled all season.
Rangers Celebrate with Parade and Rally on the Strip
The Rangers and their fans took over the Strip on Tuesday to celebrate their ALCS triumph. The parade started at Tropicana Avenue and ended at Toshiba Plaza, where a stage was set up for speeches and presentations. The players, coaches, staff, and owner Mark Davis rode on open-top buses and trucks, waving to the cheering crowd along the way. Some players held up signs that read “Back to Back” and “We Run This State”. Others sprayed champagne and threw T-shirts to the fans. The parade was escorted by police officers on motorcycles and horses.
At Toshiba Plaza, Clark County Commissioner Michael Naft declared Oct. 23, 2023, “Las Vegas Aces Day,” and presented the team with the Key to the Strip. Davis thanked the fans for their support and said, “It’s hard to win a championship. It’s even harder to repeat.” He also praised manager Bruce Bochy, who led the team to its third World Series appearance in his first year as skipper. Bochy introduced each player individually and highlighted their contributions to the team’s success. He also thanked Davis for giving him the opportunity to manage the Rangers and said, “This is a special group of guys. They play with heart, they play with passion, they play with grit.” He added, “We’re not done yet. We have one more goal to accomplish.”
Rangers Reveal Player-Worn World Series Gear
The Rangers also unveiled their player-worn gear for the World Series, which will begin on Friday at Globe Life Field against either the Philadelphia Phillies or Arizona Diamondbacks. The gear includes caps, jerseys, hoodies, T-shirts, and jackets that feature the team’s logo and colors, as well as the words “World Series” and “2023”. The gear is available here.

The Rangers are hoping to add another ring to their collection by winning their first ever World Series title. They have come close twice before, losing to the San Francisco Giants in 2010 and St. Louis Cardinals in 2011. This year, they have a chance to make history by becoming the first team since the New York Yankees in 1998-2000 to win three consecutive championships.
